GOD, HIS PARADISE AND HELL

GOD, HIS PARADISE AND HELL

Allah the highest, tells us that He is the same yesterday, to-day and tomorrow.  This truth is in the Koran and also in the Old Testament.     If we believe this, we must also believe that it is impossible that He ever changes; He is Eternal, and eternally the same.  So how can The Almighty, The One, (hear O Israel the Lord your God is One, Thou shalt have no other god besides He) become part of a Trinity?  This could not happen; indeed we are told in the Koran that this is a falsehood.  It is also illogical.  Allah also tells us (in the Koran) that if He wills, He may forgive some people, any sin, except taking partners with Him.

Not being forgiven by Allah the Highest, means that on the Day of Judgement,   we have no hope.    It has become unfashionable to talk of Hell, but anyone who reads the various descriptions of hell in the Koran, is shown a terrifying picture of what can await us.  How can people believe in Allah/God, and Heaven /Paradise,   but forget that there are two destinations in the Hereafter?

Human beings don’t like to speak or think about unpleasant things. Death (like Hell) is cloaked in euphemisms, anything is better than remembering, that every living thing, will at some time die, except The Almighty the Eternal.  After death there will a resurrection, we don’t know when, but it will come.  I could quote either the Koran or the Bible or both, about this, both relate to the facts about the same God.  The only difference is that, while it is openly acknowledged that the Bible has been changed and altered many times, it is also acknowledged that the Koran is intact and unchanged from the time it was sent down to the prophet and messenger Mohamed (prayer and peace be upon him).

So, when we are resurrected, we told that we will be judged. As with all judgments, the judge may find for us or against us.  It is what we do in this life, which determines how we are judged. Hell is not like a prison sentence, there is no specified term, or remission for good behavior, and it will be for ever, for most people.  Paradise is eternal for every one who gains entry.  Being in Hell is something which should strike fear into the hearts of all living persons.   Indeed Proverbs states that “fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom”.     It is very wise to be afraid of getting an adverse judgement.

It is never too soon to start working towards reward and not punishment in the Hereafter, although we can leave it too late, as none of us knows when we will die; anymore than we knew when we would be born (others, like our parents or a doctor, can make an informed estimate of the date of our birth, but we ourselves didn’t know). We should therefore worship our Creator, The One and Only, The Almighty, and try our best to do the things He has told us to do, and not do those things which He has told us not to do.
